The Ex-Mas Carol

Ashley Benson as Hanna

Can’t get enough of Ashley Benson (a.k.a. Hanna Marin) on  Pretty Little Liars?  New eps of PLL don’t start again until January, but Ashley will be back come holiday time, when she stars in the ABC Family made for TV movie  The Ex-Mas Carol. Ashley plays a comatose girl (like Hanna after her accident?) who experiences Christmases past, present, and future.

We think all the PLL actresses should make movies too. In addition to catching Ashley in
The Ex-Mas Carol are you hoping to see any of the other Liars branch out?

Hastings v. Hastings

In Sara Shepard’s PLL books, Spencer’s sister Melissa is super manipulative–the kind of bitch we love to hate. We’ve seen glimpses of her catty side on the show too, but in “Keep Your Friends Close,” the sisters decided to call a truce.

Of course, the truce was made without Melissa knowing Ian and Spencer had “a moment” when she and Ian were first dating. And now, Spencer is pushing Ian back into Melissa’s arms.

What will happen when Melissa finds out about Ian and Spencer? WILL she find out? Tell us what you think!

Emily’s Love Letter

In “The Perfect Storm,” the love letter Emily wrote to Ali flashed before our eyes a little too quickly. But in Pretty Little Liars, the first book in Sara Shepard’s series, we get a longer look.

. . . I love staring at the back of your head in class, I love how you chew gum whenever we’re on the phone together, and I love that when you jiggle your Sketchers during class when Mrs. Hat starts talking about famous American court cases, I know you’re totally bored. . . . and I’ve done a lot of thinking about why I kissed you the other day. I realized: it wasn’t a joke, Ali. I think I love you. I can understand if you never want to speak to me again, but I just had to tell you.

-Em (Pretty Little Liars, p. 225)

What do you think of Emily’s handwritten confession? If you were Ali, how would you have reacted?

Two’s a Party, Three’s a Love Triangle

Hanna and Sean certainly look good together, but is their relationship more style than substance? The blank look on Sean’s face when Hanna cracked up over “Snowboarding Turkey” said more than any v-club sexercise.

Hanna and Lucas, on the other hand, are totally at ease with each other. Is it a sign of friendship? Or something more? Lucas definitely seems to have romantic intentions toward Hanna . . . in his own awkward way.

Who do you think Hanna will choose?

What Would A Say . . . to Justin Bieber?

The Liars hate A’s snarky notes and texts . . . but PLL fans can’t get enough of them. So we’ve decided to give Rosewood a break and unleash A on Hollywood. After all, why should movie stars, pop stars, films and TV shows be safe from A’s wrath? Look out Tinsel Town - your new critic is a Pretty Little Liar!

First victim? Here’s a note from A to J-Biebs:

Justin Bieber Private Performance for KLUC Radio at the Hard Rock Cafe Las Vegas - October 24, 2009

J-Biebs

“Hipsters are excited about the 35-minute version of “U SMILE”. Congrats on reaching a whole new audience. . . too bad your song had to be made 800 times slower to do it.  – A”

Can you sing like Lucy? Olivia can.

Talent

Talent

It takes pipes to tackle Beyonce  . . . and Olivia Harris has what it takes to put the fierce in Sasha Fierce. Check out her version of “If I Were A Boy,” and, while you’re there, audition to win a recording contract and a starring role in the digital series Talent! The contest ends August 28th, so don’t miss your chance.

If you missed Aria singing “Who Knows Where the Time Goes” on PLL Ep 9 – it’s a must see. Do you sing like Lucy?

Pretty Little Look: Emily

In the books and on TV, each Little Liar has her own unique fashion sense, so we’re celebrating their style with our Pretty Little Looks feature . . . starting with Emily.
While Em’s not the most adventurous fashionista, she always looks good. She goes for comfort, and her easy breezy look generates a positive vibe that’s sporty but feminine.
Pretty Little Looks
We think this HOPE t-shirt is a perfect fit for Em. She could let the wide neckline slip casually to one side, and pair it with her frayed jean mini.

Are you a fan of Emily’s style? And would you wear this tee?

Sticky Fingered Marins

Hanna is no stranger to the five-finger discount. . . and, apparently, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. Ashley Marin was, after all, spotted driving around Rosewood with a sack of lifted cash.

Hanna knows about her family’s financial trouble, so how is Ashley going to talk her way out of this one? When the fridge is full and the mortgage paid, Hanna is going to have some questions. We certainly do.

How do you think Hanna is going to react to her mom’s theft?

Visiting Hours Are For Family Only

Mrs. Fields shutting Maya out once Lt. Col. Fields arrived was pretty cold . . . but understandable, since the family had just been reunited.

Of course, now Mrs. Fields has the infamous photobooth strip (Thanks A?), so we can’t imagine things are going to get any better for Emaya (Mayily?) on the family front.

What are your predictions for the Fields family vs. Maya showdown?

Is Mia a Pretty Little Star?

Talent

Talent

With a smoky voice reminiscent of Norah Jones, Mia nails “I Don’t Know Why.” We know why. She’s got Talent. Do you have Talent too? While you’re checking out Mia’s incredible Norah Jones cover, why not audition yourself? A national recording contract and starring role in a digital series are up for grabs – and the contest ends August 28th!

How does Mia’s rendition compare to Lucy Hale’s version of “Who Knows Where the Time Goes” in The Perfect Storm?
